Leading 21st Century Schools: Engage with Asia (L21CS) is a successful leadership professional learning program for principals and school leaders. The program aims to support the development of Asia literate curriculum that prepares students for future lives and careers increasingly dominated by Asia's economic growth and Australia’s engagement in the Asian region.
Government, independent and Catholic primary and secondary school leaders from across Australia have participated since 2008, swelling the L21CS alumni to over 360.
The 3-staged program provides resources and strategies to begin a change process to integrate or strengthen Asian languages and cultures into school policy and curriculum. It comprises:

Registrations will open in October 2010 for Round 3 that commences early in 2011.
The project is supported by Principals Australia and peak principals' associations.
Funding for Round 3 is provided by the Commonwealth Government under the National Asian Languages and Studies in Schools Program (NALSSP) grants program whose target countries are Indonesia, China, Japan and Korea.
