Indonesia

ThBribieIsland HS classroom1e Asia Education Foundation manages the Australia–Indonesia BRIDGE Project, which aims to increase knowledge and understanding between the two countries through school-to-school partnerships linking students.

Forty-one Australian schools are partnering forty-one Indonesian schools from six Indonesian provinces from 2008–2010. Eleven of the Indonesian schools are Basic Education Program (BEP) schools, an Australian Government initiative aimed at building 2000 schools in disadvantaged areas across Indonesia. The Australia Indonesia Institute has received funds from the Myer Foundation and AusAID to support this project.

Korea

The Australia-Korea BRIDGE Project is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-Korea Foundation and is implemented in partnership with Chungbuk National University, Korea and Australian Education International (AEI), Seoul. The program aims to increase Australian students’ and teachers’ knowledge and understanding of Korea and further Korean students' knowledge and understanding of contemporary Australia.

India

Leading 21st Century Schools: Australia-India Exchange Program is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-India Council and is implemented in partnership with AEI, New Delhi. This is a leadership focused reciprocal exchange in which both Australian and Indian principals/schools host their international counterparts. The exchange not only offers opportunities to learn about each other’s school leadership and management practices but also their partner’s society, culture, people and history.
