Projects
Indonesia
The AEF manages the Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE Project, which aims to increase knowledge and understanding between the two countries through school-to-school partnerships linking students.
Forty-one Australian schools are partnering 41 Indonesian schools from six Indonesian provinces from 2008-2010. Eleven of the Indonesian schools are Basic Education Program (BEP) schools, an Australian Government initiative aimed at building 2000 schools in disadvantaged areas across Indonesia. The Australia Indonesia Institute (AII) has received funds from The Myer Foundation and AusAID to support this project.

Commissioner Michael Keelty APM, Australian Federal Police
"One of the biggest lessons we've learned... is not to try and look at things through Australian eyes but to try and see things the way [others] see them."
