Department of Education and Early Childhood Development Study Tour

For Victorian Educators

18–30 September 2010
( This tour as of 12th July 2010 is at full capacity and registrations are closed)

This new 12-day China program for Victorian educators will be exposed to a range of experiences including ultra modern first tier cities (Beijing & Shanghai) and one of China’s leading second tier cities, (Nanjing) and an overnight stay at the Great Wall at Mutianyu.

Activities and locations have been carefully selected to maximise opportunities to discover the underlying challenges facing China as it continues to expand its global presence and influence. Highlights include visiting the Shanghai World Expo, exploring cultural treasures from a different angle, travelling on bullet trains, and sampling authentic Chinese cuisines to update understandings of Australia’s most important regional partner.

There is scope within the tour to consider how you might connect your school to schools in China.

Land package costs from $3950.00 (Inclusive twin share accommodation, most meals and the group’s transport costs in China. A Group Leader will accompany the Tour. Single supplement package rates are available on request.)
