'You' refers to the user of the AEF portal;

'Portal' is the AEF portal that you are currently using, but does not include websites to which the AEF portal has links;

'Content' is the content of the Portal that is visible through use of a web browser.

'We' or 'Us' means The University of Melbourne acting as the Asia Education Foundation.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to tell you what kind of information we may gather about you when you visit our site, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct this information. Information is collected from you primarily to make it easier and more rewarding for you to use our services. The University of Melbourne does not collect any personal information through this site unless a user sends The University of Melbourne an email using the link provided.

If you register as a user of the AEF website, subscribe to the AEF-e-News newsletter or the Asia EdNet Discussion Group, the University of Melbourne will maintain a record of personal information that you supply when subscribing. The University of Melbourne may use this information to provide the services required to maintain registered user lists and the AEF e-News and Asia EdNet subscription lists. The University of Melbourne will not disclose your personal information to any other person or organisation, except where necessary information may be disclosed to the organisation providing the electronic messaging service used to support registered user and subscription lists.

Personal information you supply may be used to compile statistics used for project management purposes, but this information will not be maintained in any way that allows individuals to be identified.
