bio

Michael Cornish is a conflict management and development economics specialist. He has lived in North Sumatra, Indonesia, where he worked on the AusAID-funded Nias Reconstruction Program after the 2004 tsunami and 2005 earthquake. He has also conducted research on the Australia-China Free Trade Agreement and managed a Philippines human resource development project for Coffey International Development. Michael is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, where he lectures in peace and conflict studies with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region He also has professional experience in law, mediation and international politics.
