bio

Mark Hill is an international Physical Theatre performer and educator. For the past decade he has specialised in the Japanese Performing Art of Butoh. He has worked with cutting edge Australian companies Zen Zen Zo, The Danger Ensemble and De Quincey Co and has performed with international butoh companies Dairakudakan (Japan) and SU-EN Butoh Company (Europe). He toured with Cabaret Punk musician Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, using physical theater and Butoh to bring her songs alive on stage. Mark has taught Physical Theatre around the world and works extensively for ISTA (International Schools Theatre Association). He is an Asialink Leader and holds a Bachelor of Education. He has taught across all levels of education. Mark is currently working internationally but is available for virtual interactions.
