bio

Ian is a lecturer in Hindi language and literature at La Trobe University, Melbourne. He has previously taught at Cornell University, Syracuse University, and the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Ph.D. He has lived for several years in India, and is currently writing a book on North Indian literature and folksong.
