Students will have the opportunity to research and analyse how and why (propaganda) poster art has contributed to mass education about social and political ideologies in countries of Asia and examine the styles and conventions of poster art across various times and places in history.
Students could investigate the historical development of propaganda poster art in China and its relationship to other arts forms, such as dance, and compare it to how posters were designed and used to communicate social awareness as a form of education in other parts of the world.
