The Asia Education Foundation (AEF) is a joint activity of Asialink at the University of Melbourne and Education Services Australia Ltd. The AEF advocates for and supports Asia literacy in Australian schools.

What's new:
Inspiring students across Australia
The Asia Literacy Ambassadors– Partnering Businesses & Schools project connects skilled professionals from the business sector with secondary schools across Australia.
Read more on how the project is capturing the imagination of Australian students.
Have your say: Asian languages

In October 2009, all Australian governments agreed to a goal: That at least 12% of students completing Year 12 be fluent in one the languages of our key Asian neighbours - China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea - by 2020.
However, we are way off target. On our latest web forum, we ask what would help your school provide a robust language program.
Tours announced for next January
We are offering a range of exciting Study Tours to China, India, Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia in early 2011. View itineraries or download calendar for a quick overview of dates and costs.
Reserve your spot on professional learning programs that take you places! Registrations close 1 November.
Leaders program: Educators wanted
The Asialink Leaders Program for 2011 is now open. It is producing a regional network of emerging leaders from the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors with the skills to exercise vision in a challenging regional and global context. Leaders in education are encouraged to apply. The program runs concurrently in Sydney and Melbourne.
Shaping the Australian Curriculum
The AEF has just published position papers on Geography and The Arts on our recently enhanced Australian Curriculum main page.
