bio

Simone grew up in Hong Kong and Singapore, and began studying Mandarin at the University of Melbourne as part of her Bachelor of Arts/Asian Studies course. She quickly became passionate about the language and after graduating moved to Taiwan to further her language studies. After three years in Taiwan and a further three in Shanghai, one of which she spent living with a Chinese family, Simone is now able to use her Mandarin skills and cultural knowledge in her work. Simone is passionate about language learning and in particular the study of Asian languages.
